Aloha all.
The No Quarter charter states that maintaining an atmosphere of friendliness and closeness while progressing is the main focus of the guild. Recent events have challenged that belief.
People make choices, on purpose or accidentally, that do not fit with the vision that the guild creators founded this guild for.
WoW is a leisure time activity, and those of us that formed this guild did so for us to enjoy the game we play (or are addicted to) with a minimum of situations arising that detract from the joy of the game. I am a high school teacher. I don't want to have to deal with situations in my leisure time that remind me of my work time.
“But,” you may be thinking, “it's just a stupid computer game!” -- Yes. It is. Go play Super Mario if you want to behave however you like without ramifications. WoW involves real people on the other end of the line. With their own personalities, histories, and stories. This is good and bad.
That being said, the guild founders have decided that some consequences are in order for recent events, especially since those involved were already on their second chance (ie guild quit and then allowed back in with stipulations). We don't need slander, harass, etc any of the parties involved.
Some of us have a different view of what should be acceptable or not within the guild (and in life).
Luckily we have the opportunity to take control of this. It's a big server with lots of guilds that I'm sure fit all types of people.
If NQ isn't best guild for you, find one that is! Best of luck to those involved, in WoW and life.
